Aspen is one of our favorite places, and we are so excited for you to experience it! For a list of some of our favorite things to do in Aspen, take a look at the below:
-
Hiking
Aspen has some of the best hiking options in the Rocky Mountains. We love Smuggler Mountain, Ute Trail and Hunter Creek Trail, but you can’t go wrong!
-
Walking & Biking
Aspen is all about the outdoors! We love to walk the trails or rent bikes and ride around town - Rio Grande Trail and East Aspen Trail are a couple of our favorites.
-
Restaurants
Aspen is host to some of the best food & beverage in Colorado! Some of our favorites include Gorsuch, Felix or Sant Ambroeus for coffee as well as Big Wrap, Ajax Tavern and Clark’s Oyster Bar for excellent meals!
-
Aspen Art Museum
The Aspen Art Museum is a contemporary art space with rotating exhibitions from world-renowned artists, housed in a striking Shigeru Ban-designed building with stunning views from its rooftop café. It’s a fun visit for its blend of cutting-edge art, interactive installations, and the unexpected contrast of modern creativity against Aspen’s alpine backdrop. We especially love visiting the rooftop for some of the best views in town!
-
Farmer's Market Saturdays
The Aspen Saturday Market, running from June 7 to October 4, 2025, offers a vibrant showcase of Colorado-grown produce and locally crafted goods in downtown Aspen. Visitors can explore fresh fruits, vegetables, baked goods, meats, cheeses, and artisanal products, while enjoying live music and a lively community atmosphere.
-
Maroon Bells
Maroon Bells, just outside Aspen, are two iconic, snow-capped peaks mirrored in the glassy waters of Maroon Lake—one of the most photographed spots in North America. Visiting is a breathtaking experience, with scenic hikes, vibrant wildflowers in summer, golden aspens in fall, and the serene beauty of the Colorado Rockies all around.
